How to build a family tree using this website

In the name index, locate the person whose ancestry you’re interested in and click on the link for that person. You will be taken to that person’s entry on the respective generation page, where you’ll find details of marriage, children, etc. Immediately to the right of the person’s name you’ll see a number of hyperlinks which point to, in order, the person’s father, grandfather, great-grandfather etc. You can use these links to gradually navigate your way upward through the family tree. Conversely, you can click on the link for any of the children listed for a particular person to navigate your way downward through the tree.
If a person’s name is listed in plain bold black type (i.e. not as a hyperlink) that means either that the person had no children or that their descendants are not on the website.
Unfortunately, because of the limitations of the software I’m using to maintain this website, I can’t offer graphically constructed family trees for on-site viewing. What you can do, though, is send me an e-mail here and ask me for my GEDCOM file (which I will definitely not supply to anyone running a pay site).
